Join your Sacred Community and create your 16″ hoop drum at Breitenbush Hot Springs. 

There is room for 16 participants in this intimate gathering of co-creation lead by Desirée “Jahdaa” Rudder, enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation, shamanic practitioner, empathic channel, Sacred Tools artisan, educator, and ceremonialist.

This three day, two night retreat is an opportunity to co-create a drum and immerse yourself in the holistic healing of the sacred land known as Breitenbush Hot Springs.

Registration for this retreat will close on August 8, 2024. No new participants will be accepted past this date.

What to Expect:

We will begin our time together with a land acknowledgment then move into introductions and smudging with Grandfather Sage and Grandmother Cedar. During introductions we will build a community altar to honor the space and each other.

Following introductions,  Desiree will lead a shamanic drum journey and pranayama meditation to encourage connection with the group, the land, and yourself. 

We will prepare the waters for soaking the hides overnight in individual tubs with your chosen medicines.

Day two: 

Nature walk to forage for a stick you will use for your drum stick, Drum Building Ceremony, and Shamanic Deum Journey with Sound Bath.

Day three: 

Drum stick creation; loaded with herbs, flowers and crystals. Closing Circle and Blessing. 

There will be plenty of time to soak, connect, and commune in nature.

  • What energy do you want to bring into the Springtime of your life? 
  • How might you suspend judgment and foster more inclusion in your life? 
  • What do you want to affirm as completely healed?

Everything you need to co-create your Sacred Tool will be provided including a guided appreciation to honor the four-leggeds and the trees that gave of themselves, instructions for building your drum, elk hide, frame, and lacing, and use of necessary hand tools.

Drum care instructions will be emailed to each participant after the retreat.
