Calysta Phillips
Calysta Phillips is a force. If she is in the room, the vibration rises and the fun factor multiplies. The most common compliment she gets is, “I love your energy.” Her heart centered approach to living and her inherent love of championing others make those around her feel uplifted. Calysta believes wholeheartedly in jumping into life with two feet and in learning by doing.
Throughout her 25 years as a middle school and high school Spanish and French teacher, she forged loving relationships with her students by making her classroom a place where they could be themselves, laugh, and play. She has studied community building through Peter Block’s Designed Learning, Life Coaching through Coactive Institute, and the Foundations of the Courage and Renewal Approach through Parker Palmer’s Center for Courage and Renewal. She has shed layers of herself in 5-Rhythms dance retreats, learned to facilitate Experiential Education experiences through Project Adventure, implemented Project Based Learning projects based on her training with High Tech High, and is a grateful member of Alanon. She is a Life Coach, a Business Innovator, and a Freestyle Rapper.. She graduated with an undergraduate degree from Harvard in 1994. She has raised two beautiful children (ages 15 and 18), and has been married for 22 years to a tender, generous, and funny man. Calysta’s mission in life is to help others see the light in themselves so they can live their greatest lives.
